just as the way burning camphor will not loose its aura
231. Diamond irrespective of its being placed on head or dropped
into a dustbin retains its value n comparison with an artificial diamond made
out of glass.
232. Physical charm of the body is holocaust by the advancing age.
One may turn popper by lavish spending, but spending for good deeds are
glorified even after death.

3. SAI IN DREAMS:
http://ebeacon.ettitudemedia.com
These are the dream sequences and messages as received by SaiBaNiSa Ji From our
beloved GURU LORD SAINATH OF SHIRIDI. In Anticipation that this feature will
help in one's spiritual growth are hereby compiled from his personal Diary and presented to
SAIBANDHUS.
Translated and presented by RAGHU RAMAN SATULURY.
I came across swamijis engaged in collecting money in the name
of SAI to make personal gains. I prayed Baba to tell me more about them.
Sai appeared in the form of an unknown person and casually said
–
There is no wonder in this. Still bigger wonder is that people
can indulge in swindling money from their hapless kith and kin, with utter
disregard for love and affections.
It is your mistake to waste valuable time and energies on such
futile matters.
Where money rules, love and affections take the back seat.
Yesterday, some Sai devotees visited my house. They questioned
me a lot on SAI. I told them what all I knew. Before going to bed, I asked Baba
to tell me as to how I should conduct myself while talking on Sai philosophy.
Sai appeared in the form of an unknown person and said –
Before embarking on to open others door of knowledge, first you
open your own door.
It was a shop engaged in manufacturing aluminum glasses. I was
employed in the manufacturing of Aluminum tumblers. Because I was not making
the right type of joints, water was leaking. They were of no use, as water
could not be served in them to the thirsty passersby. The shop owner (SAI)
called me and said -“Although you are in the line for so many past lives, still
you have not mastered the art of making the tumblers and hence unable to quench
the thirst of the people. At least in this life succeed in making the proper
ones and serve the cause”.
I realized that I should
first absorb SAI Thathva thoroughly before preaching to others.
Practice leads to perfection in any field.
I was thinking about Sai and a thought ran through my mind
whether Sai knows so many languages as people from all regions and walks of
life visit HIM in Shiridi.
I could hear a melodious voice telling me as-
One may speak in any language, I can understand from the depth
of their
feelings and reach them.
Language is no barrier for devotion to Sai.

4. QUINTESSENCE OF SRI SAIBABA'S
PHILOSOPHY:
(By Late Sri Bharam UmamaheswaraRao)
"Shashi": shashi_31@yahoo.com
23. Human Body is
Dharmakshetra
We must know that the
human body is ‘Dharmakshetra’. Sorrows help us to analyze their root causes and
help us to understand the state of affairs of this world. This is why Sai Baba
is giving us one hardship after another. If we patiently bear with them, we
will get wisdom. This helps us to understand other’s problems and miseries with
sympathy. Pleasures and miseries of this body is effect of Prarabdha Karma. So
we must practice to tolerate all our problems with patience. Such tolerance alone
qualifies for Divinity. We must tolerate the pleasures and pains caused to our
Sthula and Suksma bodies by Prabradha Karma but keep them in our mind only. We
should not mentally be perturbed for such miseries. We must be still and also
keep it at higher plane of equanimity. We should not think about the worldly
affairs and get our mind disturbed.
We must first of all know the root cause of our Janma and then
only we know our true self. If we understood this, the egoism in us evaporates,
sins will be rooted out and self – realization will be attained. Then we can
get Ananda. We must lead our life in an exemplary way shining with
spirituality.
Thus human body has been bestowed upon only for God Realization.
So given an opportunity even to the vilest sinner to attain Him by establishing
himself in Him, even at the time of death.
Baba says: “ One who knows His integral Being, comprising
Adhibhuta, Brahma and unmanifest Divinity even at the time of death reaches
Him. Who departs from the body, thinking of Him alone, even at the time of
death, attains Him and there is no doubt about it.
So even at the time of death if we utter the name of Sri Sai
Baba, we will attain Brahma Sthiti. A little practice of chanting Baba’s name
always, protects us from great fear of birth and death. Attachment to worldly
matters is the only obstacle to attainment of this state.

Sai through Reincarnations
Life after death:
The soul after leaving
the physical body crosses a rivulet. It then
reached the top most of
the four minarets of a fortress, situated
on the top of a hill on
the other bank of the river. All this
happens due to the grace
of Guru. The soul now has to traverse
alone up in to the sky.
If the thoughts and desires are
unfulfilled, the soul
looks down and comes down to Earth. It
then starts searching for
another bodily form to take on a new
life. Few of those who
manage to take a second step in the upward
direction, again, due to
the grace of Guru, reach the Lord. Some of
the incidents concerning
the case of those souls that could not
take the second lead step
and were reborn are reproduced below.
(1)Deeply attached to the
grandson:
An aged man was deeply
attached to his grandson who had just completed his studies in Medicine. At the
time of his death, the old man desired that his grandson should spend all his
wealth in constructing a Hospital in service of the poor. The grandson
accordingly constructed a big Hospital and forgot totally about his grandfather.
After a lapse of ten years, while the Doctor was taking rounds in the Hospital
during nights, he saw a ward boy aged about ten years, uttering the following
words in sleep: “My grandson should construct a Hospital and I must see it”.
The Doctor recalled that these were in fact the words of his grandfather
uttered at the time of his death. He once again remembered his grandfather.
Could the ward boy be the Doctor’s grandfather?

Pandavas came here during their Vanvas (life in forests) build a
hermitage for themselves. Their cows used to go to the same river bank to drink
water. After drinking water, milk used to automatically flow into the river as
if the cows were offering to the river. One day Bhima saw this miraculous
event. He promptly told Dharmaraja about the same. Then Dharmaraja said,
“Surely, some great God must be living in this river”. Then the Pandavas
started removing the water from the river. The middle part of the river was so
hot that the water there was boiling.
Bheema lifted his mace attacked the river thrice. The water gave
way instantly. At the very moment, instead, blood started oozing like a spring.

went and sought refuge with Orvamuni, who in turn cursed the Demons that they
would be destroyed. The Devas launched an attack on the Demons. Now, the Demons
began to worry. Daruka, who received some special boons from Parvati, lifted
the entire forest, took it away on the path of the sky and put it in the middle
of the sea. Only then, did the Demons relax and continue to live there. They
used to go by boats and capture the hermits and imprison them the island. Once,
there was a Shiva devotee by the name Supriya who was among the prisoners. He
never ate food or drank water without worshipping Shiva. He continued to do
Puja even while in prison.
When the guards informed their chief about his, he ordered that
Supriya be put to death. Then Supriya prayed to Lord Shankara for his life. The
Lord appeared before him immediately and destroyed the entire group of demons
including their families. On the other land, Parvati here granted a boon to
Daruka. As a result, at the end of that era, only Demons would be created and
she would rule Daruka. Lord Shiva accepted this. Then Shiva and Parvati stayed
there. Shiva once again assumed the form of JyotirLinga, with the name
Nageshwar and Parvati was known as Nageshwari.

7. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES:
SaiRam!
Since I was 10 yrs old I am a believer of Sai Babaji. He has
always shown me the path whenever I feel lost. Last year I went to Rajasthan on
a vacation...before leaving I prayed to Babaji to reach the destination before me.
We reached there in the afternoon, and in the evening we went for site
seeing...while coming back I saw a big portrait of Babaji, that too in a place
where no body goes. I could not believe my eyes. He had actually answered my
prayers. Another incident where in I had to travel by bus and I m very scared
to go by buses, so I again requested Babaji to be with me and to my surprise the
ticket checker had Sai Baba printed on all the tickets. Once again Babaji
proved that he is with His devotees always. We just need to trust Him with full
faith.

SaiRam!
I am happy to inform that today I experienced Sai's miracle. I
have always been blessed child of Sai. Dear Saibanisaji you are truly blessed. Yesterday
I have read many of your letters and especially your saying that Sai normally
appear in our dream during brahmimuhurtam attracted my attention. Baba appeared
in my dream many time during that period. Today on Thursday I had ream in which
I saw astalakshmi's appear in my pooja room. My mother called me since I was
sleeping. Suddenly as soon as I entered pooja room (all in my dream) I saw
beeja akhara's appearing in Sai's photo.
After waking up I told the same to my husband though he believes
Sai, he said may be these are your illusions since you think lot about Sai. I
said it is not possible, my dreams are true. Then we did pada pojja to Sai. the
my husband said if everything is true today Baba should appear before us in
person and tell us something I said Baba will definitely appear. I have a beautiful white Idol of Sai.
It is Kamadhenuvu to us. Whenever I ask some wish and put flower on it. My wish
is sanctioned. Until I ask something the
flower won't stand on the idol. Today I asked Baba's darshan to us.
We were on the way to office. Then suddenly a black American
lady walked beside us. She seemed lost in trance didn't care of her dressing. She
wore her bag in very weird manner. I got scared seeing her and thought in my
mind I shouldn't see her lest she will talk to me. I walked very fast. But the lady (she is in fact our loved Baba Himself)
called me even then I didn't turn back. But she kept calling miss have a look. Then
I stopped before her. My husband is in shock. She asked what job you are doing I
said I am a programmer in medicine staff. She saw my id. She said don't wear
the black sweater you are wearing always wear blue one. You will get long term
job in market you will progress in your carrier. I said thanks to her many
times. She didn't care and walked away.
My husband was shocked with surprise and said indeed Baba
answers our call as soon as we seek him. Dear friends this is the love of our Sai.
Just have faith in Him and He will be with us always.
Dear members of Saidarbar web site http://www.saidarbar.org is blessed with Sai's
love and power. Thank you very much

8. SPIRITUAL GEMS FROM
SAI SATCHARITRA
Sai Ram. After the preliminary introduction, the main topic of
the chapter, Isa Upanishad is taken up and how Sadguru removes the obstacles in
one's spiritual sadhana is shown. Sai Ram.
"Das Ganu once started to write a Marathi commentary on the
Ishavasya Upanishad. Let us first give a brief idea of this Upanishad, before
proceeding further. It is called a `Mantropanishad', as it is embodied in the Mantras
of the Vedic Samhita. It constitutes the last or the 40th Chapter of the
Vajasaneyi Samhita (Yajurveda) and it is, therefore, called Vajasaneyi Samhitopanishad.
Being embodied in Vedic Samhitas, this is regarded as superior to all other
Upanishads, which occur in the Brahmanas and Aranyakas (explanatory treatises
on Martras and rituals). Not only this, other Upanishads are considered to be commentaries
on the truths mentioned briefly in the
Ishavasya Upanishad. For instance, the biggest of the Upanishads,
viz, the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, is considered by Pandit Satwalekar to be a
running commentary on the Ishavasya Upanishad." Sai Ram.
Strictly speaking, no God is superior to another God and
similarly no Upanishad is superior to another, since all are expressions of the
same Truth. Karma, Jnana or Bhakti, in fact, any path will lead us to our final
destination of realizing our true nature. However, real Jnana cannot take root
in one's mind unless the mind is pure. Purity of mind is achieved through
performing of good karma and avoidance of bad karma. Bhakti helps us to seek
the divine grace which is always present but will manifest when we are ready. Once
the fire of Jnana is lit and is burning steadily, all Vasanas of the mind are
burnt. So, Karma and Jnana are equally effective in self-realization. Sai Ram.
"Professor R.D. Ranade says: - "The Ishopanishad is quite
a small Upanishad; and yet it contains many hints which show an extraordinarily
piercing insight. Within the short compass of 18 verses, it gives a valuable
mystical description of the Atman, a description of the ideal sage, who stands
unruffled in the minds of temptations and sorrows; and adumbration of the
doctrine of Karma-Yoga as later formulated, and finally a reconciliation of the
claims of knowledge and works. The most valuable ideas that lies at the root of
the Upanishad is that of a logical synthesis between the two opposites of
knowledge; and work, which are both required according to the Upanishad to be
annulled in a higher synthesis". (page 24 of the Constructive Survey of
the Upanishad Philosophy). In another place he says that "The poetry of
the Ishopanishad is a Commixture of moral, mystical and metaphysical (ibid,
Page 41)"."
We will continue with the gems in the next issue. Sai Ram.

9. SAI WITH CHILDREN:
http://www.saidarbar.org/HTML/portraits/7.jpg
Smt. Madhu Gopal Ravada, Saidarbar,
Hello Children! I am Madhu aunty. Do you know Baba use to play with children
and used to tell stories to them? I felt children visiting Saidarbar should be
entertained with good stories. For the last 2 years I have told you about Lord
Krishna's Leelas and Lord Rama Story. Now I want to tell the stories what heard
in my child hood.
The Broken Pot
A water bearer in India had two large
pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of
the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always
delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walk from the
stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two
years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots
full of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of
its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot
was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to
accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to
be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able
to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak
out all the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do a lot
of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot
said.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did
you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on
the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I
planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk
back, you've watered them.
For two years I have been able to pick
these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way
you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
The Moral: Each of us has our own unique
flaws. We're all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that
make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

QUEST FOR LIBERATION
Human beings face conflicts of various
kinds in their lives, however, the real challenge lies within the being. Caught
in the vortex of mundane materialism many are unable to pursue spiritual life,
which alone can help one to escape the cycle of re-births. Just as a captain is
necessary for a ship to chart a safe trip for its passengers, it is important
to have a preceptor who can guide spiritual seekers to realize the spiritual
goal successfully.
One must surrender to SADGURU with a clean
slate, having no idea of own, so that the GURU shall chalk-out a plan and mould
the being into a spiritual genius. The disciple must stand by the GURU always
with unswerving faith and devotion and carry out the Guru’s instructions, to
the very word. When there is keen desire to surrender all the individuality at
the LOTUS FEET of GURU, HE (GURU) comes forwarded with HIS practical
instructions.
The seed for the Divine life was sown; water
it with nectarine stream of Cosmic Manifestation in the Quest for Liberation.

EDITORIAL.
Things impressed me from this Magazine:
A good person while in trouble will not shed his principles just
as the way burning camphor will not loose its aura.
Physical charm of the body is holocaust by the advancing age.
One may turn popper by lavish spending, but spending for good deeds are
glorified even after death.
All battles in life are won the moment the inner enemy of
laziness is conquered.
Pleasures and miseries of this body is effect of Prarabdha
Karma. So we must practice to tolerate all our problems with patience. Such
tolerance alone qualifies for Divinity.
